Nordea-fonden supports the Malko Competition
It is the second time that Nordea-fonden supports the Malko Competition. "The Malko Competition is a unique musical communication project which has a very high international level at the same time as it reaches people's livingrooms, engages us and expands our knowledge of classical music. We hope that the Malko Competition will stimulate the interest for classical music and inspire mainly young people to explore and engage in this musical genre. Nordea-fonden is supporting the Malko Competition both during the competition days and in the following period when the winner of the competition will conduct Danish and Nordic symphony orchestras to the delight of music fans in the Nordic region", says Ulla Björnsson, Head of the Secretariat in Nordea-fonden. In 2012 Nordea-fonden contributes with 5,2 mio. DKK.

Furthermore the foundation has six scholarship apartments at its disposal in the foundation's Heerings Gaard-building at Christianshavn. Nordea-fonden also donates 5 mio. DKK every year to study visits abroad.
